Call 111 - When it is less urgent than 999

Surgery Times

The reception is open:

Monday - Friday 8.00am - 6.30pm

Evening and weekend appointments are available via the GP Alliance Hub with appointments booked through our own reception staff.

Emergency & Night Visits

You should contact the surgery if you are worried that your illness cannot wait until the next surgery opening time. Sometimes you should ring for an ambulance yourself. For example, if you have chest pain which goes on for more than 15 minutes - don't delay. Dial 999 for an ambulance and tell them you think it may be a heart attack.

If you 'phone the surgery outside of surgery hours you will hear a message giving the 111 telephone number. You will be asked by a trained receptionist to supply more details about yourself, your symptoms and medication etc.

The information that you give will be passed direct to the duty doctor, who will contact you. If you need a home visit, this will be arranged or, alternatively, you may be asked to attend the local Out of Hours clinic.

Disabled Access

There is a pathway leading from Poverest Road to the entrance of the practice which is suitable for wheelchairs, buggies and anyone who is unable to climb steps. Consulting rooms and toilet are suitable for wheelchair access.

Please ask reception for any special help.
